my wife and i were just disscussing slavery and we wondered since everything was segragated did they also have their own cemetaries?

Yes, although usually the blacks didn't even get a cetemitary. Sometimes (with especailly cruel ppl), they were even DUMPED AND LEFT TO DIE AT ROADSIDES.
It was a truely cruel time

A lot of people seem to forget that there was never any slavery
or segregation in the Northern states, only the South. There was prejudice in the Northern states in jobs and housing, but no segregation.

yes, afri-amer still have thier own cemetaries, at least where i live we do, also during slavery blacks were not buried properly in some states they had what you call a hole, where there maybe 7 or 8 bodies in that one hole.

probably all above.........also, some areas of cemeteries were set aside for the Black.
SOME of the slaves were fathered by the owners so they would be buried as/with family..

yup i think so. I am pretty sure they did. I know they have cemeteries are separated by religions.
