I was shopping at a grocery store and I needed a cart but there was this 60yr old white lady blocking the cart I needed So I said excuse me and waited then I said "con permiso" ( means excuse me in spanish) She didn't move so I slowly move in to get the cart and she yells out " Why are YOUR people so rude?"

Although I'd imagine it'd be tempting to be rude back to her or tell her what to do - the best way would be to shoot her down with politeness - a smile and say "actually, thankyou, we're not - and that's a rather racist stereotype" - if you don't yell back its hard for her to justify yelling again and even harder if you're polite but point out the facts like that! :-)

Maybe she is just rude or partially deaf. I would have told her that I did politely ask her to move so that I could get the cart and smile and say I am sorry. But honestly I just would have waited patiently unless I was in a hurry b/c I really have some weird type of respect for older-elderly people.

Next time, when you need an old person to move, make sure you say excuse me REALLY loud. I live on a military base, and the commissary is always overrun with retirees (read: people old enough to be my grandparents). I'm always having to say excuse me to them 3 or 4 times, getting louder each time, because they can't hear me. So I've started saying it once pretty loudly them. It seems to be working so far...I have very little patience for slow people (or stupid people being slow), because I'm usually carrying around my 1-yr-old, and if I stand in one place too long waiting on them, my arm goes numb. Besides, I don't have all day to hang out in the store like they do.

And the next time an old person says something like that to you, tell them "I already asked you 3 times, so YOU'RE the one being rude. Get a hearing aid!!"

There are losers everywhere. Don't let someone so small ruin your day.

Options: "you bit_h", "how very sweet of you to say so", "something we learned from you", "excussssse me", "fu_k you very much", "when did you escape from the home?", "hey lady, you have pee running down your leg, you better go change your depends" etc.

Or, you could be sensible and ignore the rudeness of small people like her.

I wouldn't have said anything. People like her would have taken anything responded as rude and typical of "our" culture. It's best to just leave them be. They're blissfully ignorant of everything around them these days.

Crazy old people, always good for a laugh.
