how do you meet other guys (for a 19 yrs old in sf area, or berkeley area)? In a bar, support group, or gym?

Hey Travis, I noticed you were getting some pretty crappy answers so I thought I would help you out. I haven't been to CA, (I'm in Clearwater Fl.) But meeting guys isn't too hard. It depends on if you're looking for one off sex or serious relationship. It's easy to get a list of Gay bars in your area from the internet or other local sources. If you're into bars and clubs that's probably your best bet. However I've met quite a few guys at my gym and it's always nice because at least you both have a common interest in fitness and keeping in shape. (And usually the guys are better looking because you know they work out!)
As to your preference of Oral or anal that's perfectly natural. I love oral but I don't like anal much at all. It comes down to personal preference and all you have to do is find a guy that likes the same things you like. Have fun getting out there and meeting guys. Dude this is two-thousand going on ten, wherever you are if you see someone you like strike up a conversation and see where it takes you. Dating should not be banished to an alcohol fueled flesh-pit or a bathhouse, not that there is something wrong with either one, well, yes there is but I digress, the reality is that if dating between men & women is acceptable in all social venues then it should be the same for men seeking men and women seeking women. Church is a great place to meet guys. And Colleges, gee gawd, any group of people in their teens into their thirties ought to willing to explore their sexuality, and often they do. Universities have always been fertile hunting grounds. As for the technical question, there is nothing wrong with having a preference for certain sexual activity over other activities. Figure out what you want and go for it and don't be afraid to go for it if you happen to bump into someone you like at a Republican Party rally and that certail feeling begins tingling your spine.

to go to a bar ... Start making friends at the youth groups (i.e. Gay & Lesbian Service Center or
U C Berkley Student Gay Club )
you may hook up with someone their, or they may become friends that intrduce you to your next love. Identify your interest like going to the Gym, Library, Museuim ect. Spend time in their
Second, you are young and will meet may other guys that you will like as your GAYDAR develops

People should never assume all gay guys like anal sex at all.
If it's normal to like something, it's normal to dislike it.
Just say you're very oral, or don't like anal straight out. I would imagine there are a great deal of people just like you. Meeting guys like you is hard, and everyone deals with it. Best thing to do is say hi and start a conversation, if it gets down to sex tell what you like? Sometimes it's simple.
