easy....

x = (6 - 3y) / 2

for y

y = (6-2x) / 3

um im not too good with algebra but i think thatd either be 3 if you make y 0 which would cancel out the 3 and then divide x by 2 and 6 y 2 to get 3

OR

you could leave y as a variable and make it 2x = 6-3y
then divide by 2 so x = (6-3y)/2

ok.
2x + 3y = 6 To get x on one side, u need to move all the others to the right.
So,
2x=6-3y (devide each side by 2)
x=3-3/2y
x=-1.5y+3

If u are asked to plot the gragh, u can subs number into x & y,
when x=0, y=
when x=1 y=
when x=2, y=
Then u can plot the gragh

x = 3 - 3/2y There is no unique solution. Just move the 3y over to the right side and divide by 2.

subtract 3y from both sides
2x+3y-3y=6-3y

2x=6-3y
Divide each side by 2

x=6/2-3y/2

x=3-3y/2

Subtract 3y from both sides.

2x=6-3y

Divide both sides by 2.

x=3-1.5y

There you go.

2x + 3y = 6

2x = 6 - 3y

x = (6 - 3y) / 2

x = [ 3 (2 -y) ] / 2

x = [-3 (y - 2) ] /2
