to negotiate buying expensive things you need to get your information right. sales people are very slick, so you need to arm yourself with their techniques. one such technique that car salesmen use is advertising a car for a really good deal only to change the price after you have spent your time signiing the paperwork. this technique is called low balling. there are many slimy tricks they use, so while you think your negotiating a good price, they have already suckered you. i would love to tell you all the different techniques to negotiating, but i don't have he time..

It's not really difficult...you've to know the market price first..check the papers on property / cars. OR you may even call on the agents . By knowing the market price , you may than do the bargaining...just try your luck by a certain percentage 20 - 30 % off value ....

For a property may be you may provide a certain reasons : need to renovate the ceiling / roof top , bathroom,or my husband actually don't really like the master bed room & we've to do alot of renovation etc etc ...but see the house first than only make the comments ...in such you may than get the negotiation price ....in the end it's a 50 -50 win win cases.

The same thing you may do on the car ...but this time you've to really check on the body & may also said we need to have the sit change etc etc .

Hope this will help...Good Luck

Dealer says "The ticket price is 18,000." You say "I won't pay 18,000 . How does 14000 sound?"

Negotiate your price down the most at first and only give little bits at a time after that.

Your dealer might say "Nope. How about 17,500?" Then you say "15000 firm."

IF it's a house, go around and nit pick and find little things that you'll have to fix and use these points when negotiating.

Say something like "Well, I'll need to put $15,000 into that roof and probably 1000 for carpet so how about $90,000" , knowing full well that you will have to pay more but then you negotiate up to a price that makes you both happy.
