they will leave Seattle? Personally I could care less...if they go, I hope they fire Wally Walker.

The sale was definitely coming. Schultz and his group were tired of losing money to this horrid contract the city of Seattle has the Sonics stuck in. I'm not sure that they'll be moved to Oklahoma City (or anywhere else for that matter), at least short term, because Seattle's a highly profitable market for professional sports. The Mariners, even when playing bad, draw one of the bigger attendances in MLB. The Seahawks fans are a little more fair weather, but when you have a huge stadium you can't expect it to sell out when your team is performing mediocrely. The Sonics, despite good attendance, lose money because they have to do so much profit sharing with the city. Expect the city to see the new owners as a threat that may seriously pull the Sonics out of Seattle, and work with them to renegotiate a more favorable contract before that happens.

They wont leave Seattle. The people that brought the team are investors form Oklahoma City, and they were mainly unpressed by the way Oklahoma inbraced the New Orleans Hornets last season. So they want to try to carry the success over to Seattle because they know now what they have to do to get it done. The Sonics reportedly lost over 55 million dollars in revenue last season, and the investors are going to pump that money back into the city of Seattle. They have no plans on moving the team.

All they want to do is make basketball fun up in Seattle the way it was fun in Oklahoma City last year. And by doing so the investors will see a heavy return on their money in the years the come. But first things first, the Sonics have to start winning again...
