Well unfortunately, we all have our own set of tests and trials in life and no 2 are the same...
I heard a story once and it goes like this:

A man is walking along dragging his own personal cross and it is beginning to bear a heavy weight for him...
So he stops and prays to God that he wants relief from his cross of troubles and wants a lighter load to bear...

So the Lord answers him and says please step into this room and lay down your cross and pick out a new one...
So the man enters the room, sets his cross down near the others and starts his search for a cross that is not too big or too heavy or too long...

He searches and searches for a long time, then way over in the corner he spots a cross that seems to be just right for him...

Yes Lord, I will take that cross over there, that one seems small and lightweight and short and I think I can handle that one...
May I please carry that one Lord...
The Lord smiles upon the man and says, dear child, that is the cross you walked in with...

So you see, to each his own...
Your troubles seem small and lightweight compared to others who may be carrying a much heavier load or cross...

You don't really want to trade in your troubles for someone elses now do you???
Suddenly your troubles seem so small compared to others you could be stuck with...
So look at other people in your life and see if you would want to bear their load instead of yours...
You may find that it is a much better deal for you to carry your own cross...

Because human beings are fundamentally alone on this earth. We have no real connection to each other. How well do you really know anyone? You can think you know someone only to have them turn out to be something entirely different.

These little moments happen where we all feel this disconnect from one another. That moment when you realize that the other person is just never going to be able to truly see things from your perspective. And then the sadness follows...

But for those that realize that life is something to be for the most part endured on one's own, there is a beauty in that. Some would call it God and others Inner Strength, but however you label it, it is what is inside of you that determines whether or not life is bearable. Develop dreams and aspirations, nurture your curiosities, give yourself a life that at the very least is "the best one I could think up" and you will do fine.

We are all fundementally the same but yet never connected. We all live, have sex, party, and die. It is very repetitive and sometimes this truth gets through to people on subconscious levels and leads to a depression they cannot quite comprehend. Be aware of all this so that when you get depressed you remember that THAT is part of the game of life, too.

Read Schopenhauer sometime. A great philosopher. World's greatest pessimist. He would say things so deep as to indict life itself. But were there no life, there would be no Shopenhauer, and we would never get to hear his delicious rants!

See my point? The depression of life is poignant. Life as a play is probably a Tragedy--but that is far better than no play at all and even a Tragedy has moments of great peace and beauty!

OK, here's the answer. Because George Bush and his friends want money and power and they do not give a damn about you or your needs. George gives ten billion in contracts to Haliburton without bidding and they do shoddy work and rip off the USA with impunity because Chaney was their CEO before becoming VP. Second, the Bushes realize that people are addicted to petroenergy and got into the business to make lots of money with no regard for the environment. They support petroenergy even though there are many other sources of energy that have been developed. Another reason, Right wing Christians terrorize people as do Muslims and Jews as part of the process of amassing wealth
Another, the USA is the only industrialized country that does not provide health care to all citizens.

Jesus said that, "While you are in the world you will have troubles but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world."
I don't know about you, but I have often made things harder for myself and brought troubles into my life by thinking that I knew better than God. So I did things that He said in the Bible we shouldn't do. Also, Overcoming troubles builds character and helps us to know how to help others when they are in similar situations.

There are so many answers to life in the Bible. I would start with
the New Testament and then read The Old Testament. Another good way to read the Bible is to get a "One Year Bible". In each days section there is something from each section to help you get through some parts that may get a little boring.

God bless you.

When you said "so hard sometimes" that means you also have good life sometimes. The saying goes "not everyday is Sunday" so be pleased about it.
Think of those people that has worst life than yours, you are considered blessed.

To test us, to see if we break or if we rise to the challenge.

Another view is that what we experience is nothing compared to the hardship Jesus Christ experience for us. What we are facing is just a small portion.

Maybe life seems hard because we have no clear goals in life and we're just wandering and figuring out what to do.

I can't give you a good answer but I can tell you this; "YOU'RE not the only one feeling like that".

Many times it is because of the choices we have made. But sometimes, it just is.

Many things you do and choices you make can contribute to life being hard: Having kids before you are old enough and mature enough, quitting school before you have an education that enables you to support yourself, being too selfish, doing drugs, becoming and staying involved with a person who mistreats you and makes you unhappy, etc.

But we all have trials and tribulations that we do not bring on ourselves. It is just part of life. The yin and yang.

Life also brings us many rewards and they are worth waiting for.

Makes the good times that much better!

An old saying: There are 2 things to remember in life,

1. Don't sweat the small stuff.

2. Everything is small stuff.

It wouldn't be life without the hardships! Just try to make someting positive out of every bad situation and then there's no such thing... For every bad thing that happens to you, do something good like give money to charity, visit an elderly relative or help out a stranger and you will make the world a better place. I hope that's some consolation.

Some of this has to do with how the world is set up politically and socially. Allen Ginsberg said that before we can change structures that we must transform consciousness. It could be a better world for all, but those in power behind the scenes don't want to change. It's up to the people.
