I like Westerns, not cow boy film, though once again it would be a good name for a movie "Cowboy Film" The old west never dies. Cowboy Film.

Yes if they have a good story line and are well acted and directed.
There is nothing like a good bang bang shoot 'em up cowboy flick.
As for Brokeback Mountain,while it may not appeal to some folks it will to others.I have not seen it but I believe it has the qualities I mention above.

I like the old ones with Clint Eastwood and John Wayne but some of the newer ones have been OK. Wild, Wild West with WIll Smith was a riot and Silverado just rocked but all in all, they haven't been all that good. Good question!!

Classics are the best. Seems the movie makers don't go to as much trouble to make a good western anymore.
