Does anyone know any butterfly knife tricks? Or know where I can learn more? I just got a butterfly knife a week ago, but I want to learn how to use it well.

This is the first beginners trick on the website provided by the first link. There is a video and procedures with detailed pictures explaining how to master these tricks.

----

Partials are exercises starting in a "stalled" position, meaning, you're smack dab in the middle of open & closed, with no movement between the two states. As a beginner, you'll no doubt find yourself in this predicament all too often. Don't fear.....get "connected".

1. Start in the position shown at left, stalled in the half open position (from a windmill opening).

2. In one smooth, but quick motion, pull the hand up toward the ceiling "sharply".

3. Tilt the wrist back a little if needed, toward the forearm.

4. Continue the motion........

5. .........as the handle passes just over vertical, snap the hand downward......

6. ....... to complete the opening.

**This website consists of beginners/intermediate/advanced tricks. I ACTUALLY saw your post when you answered somebody's question about what violin piece he/she recommends. I suggest you read my response to his question since you and I are both violin players. Then I went to your profile and I saw that you had one question posted so I decided to answer it. I hope you will check out my answer regarding the violin pieces because there is a very challenging one and I wanted you to see if you've ever heard/played it. The first link answers your question about butterfly knife tricks (hope that helps!) and the second link is the link to the question you and I answered regarding violin pieces. Please reply if you can and message me! thanks.

There is not "safe" way to learn to use a sharp butterfly knife. Why would you think that there is? And tricks will only get you injured anyway. ...
