Babies *don't* cry for no reason. You just don't know what teh reason is. That's a very different thing!!

If the baby is crying, and you don't understand why, then try *everything*!! Try dressing the baby differently; maybe she's warm or cold. Take her into a different room; maybe she's bored. Maybe she's tired, so try rocking and singing to her. By the time you've given each of these a *thorough* chance to help, it will be time to feed her again. So start over.

babies never cry for no reason. depending on her age, she may be teething. Other possibilities are that she may be used to constantly being held and you aren't. She may have Colick which has many different solution as there are different babies that have colick. Swinging her, tummy rubs, warm pads on tummy or back, sometimes even the noise of a vacuum or another loud droning type noise (not stereo) will sooth them. Another possibility is that she just may not be feeling well due to ear ache, over feeding, under feeding, gas, stomach ache, etc. But first, you need to check with her parents and find out if they carry/hold her a lot. If that's the case, she's crying to gain attention. When she figures out that the crying isn't going to work, she will adjust and eventually stop crying so much. Although, I cared for a little girl just like that and she cried like that for 3 solid months before I asked her parents to find someone else. I ultimately kept her at her mother's insistance and found out three or four years later that her mother never wanted a little girl and pretty much neglected her after her birth. She had grown used to crying because of her mother's neglect. (her own mother told me this upon them leaving at the end of the 4th year of my services) If you can't get her to quit crying don't try to keep her as this type of situation can cause extreme stress and can lead to abuse of the child.

However, if this is not the case, and you think the child may be crying due to not feeling well, talk to the parents and maybe try to get them to see a doctor.

How old is she? You can try just holding her and kissing her. I don't know if you have a strict schedule set up for her. When babies know what to expect with a routine they don't cry as much. If this isn't the problem then I would talk to the parents and see if they can take the baby into the Dr to make sure nothing else is going on. Does she cry with the parents too?

How old is the baby. Could be at teathing stage. First take the baby to doctor. If nothing is wrong try walking the baby around. When my daughter was a baby[about 2 weeks to a month old] I took her to the doctor and she told me she was board. He said she was probably growing faster than other babies. I had to walk her around and show her everything. She was crawling by 4 months and running by 9 months. Until this day she is a book worm and reads about everything. And goes, goes, goes. Now she is 18 yers old. Verry inteligent girl. Of course the baby could be colic.in which case cange the formula,

There could be several reasons. Colic is usually a main reason, and can happen to any baby, regardless of what you feed him or her, or how. But it is possible that something might be irritating the child a little more so. My son personally had to be switched to soy formula if he wasn't drinking breastmilk, and could only have one or two brands of formula. His tolerance got better as time went on. A hold that worked well for my husband to calm our son is laying down on his stomach across my husband's arm, head resting on the arm near his elbow. I'm too small to hold him well that way, but it sometimes helped if I was reclining back and layed him on his stomach on me. This is a recommended colic hold, btw. We ended up renaming it the Daddy Hold because it worked better for him than for me.

She could have what is called colic. Its basically a tummy upset. Talk to the parents about this. Peppermint sticks that the baby can suck on, but not long enough for them to get pointy and break off in the baby's mouth, can help ease colic symptoms. But don't try this without the parent's permission.

Suggest to the parents to talk to their doctor - there may be something else going on instead of just plain old gas. The baby might also just be crabby because mom and dad left for a while - some kids had terrible separation anxiety. Eventually it wears off.

Try taking her legs and gently pushing them into her tummy. This releases gas and pressure and makes her more comfortable. She may also have colic. There is no known cause of this and the only thing you can do is comfort her as best you can. Sing to her and let her know you love her. It usually goes away by the third month. Good luck!

babies are small but intelligent.
they want the attention of the people around them, failing which they start crying.
so just try involve ur baby while ure doing household chores by either talking or singing a song or playing with them.
till they are busy with some or the other thing, they wont trouble u.
so.....all the best
