I would recommend that you do an Import/Export
1) Open Outlook
2) File --> Import/Export
3) Choose Export to a File, click Next
4) Highlight Personal Folder File (.pst), click Next
5) Highlight Personal Folder (Root Folder) and check "Include Subfolders (this will copy your calendar events, contacts, emails, tasks, etc), click Next
6) Choose Destination where you want .PST file to be (I choose Desktop in general) as well as the file name (like backup) and Check one of the bulleyes (I usually choose replace duplicates with items exported), click Finish
7) On the last screen:
Choose level of encryption (I choose No Encryption in case I need to read the file for whatever reason. I use high for security purpose. But once encryption is on and you forgot the password, etc. you can't read the file)
Password: type password to open it (I do not for simple backup because if you forgot it, it is hard to open up the pst file)
You could search for your .pst file in your hidden file (My computer --> C drive (unless insider another drive) --> Document and Setting --> --> Local Settings --> Application Data --> Microsoft --> Outlook) but it is not recommended because you have modify and edit your Mail account setup (in Control Panel)
