Cement was just poured in my backyard and it looks uneven in some places. Any ideas on how to fix this?

It's already cured for about 36 hours. Is there something i can do? Someone mentioned something about Hydraulic cement. ????????

I had a finisher come out and do the job but he was done when it was dark. I checked it out at the time and thought that the bumps would smooth out. He said he would be back. I just didnt know if it was possible to fix this. Plus, I was'nt to happy with the guy to begin with. I figured, if it was something that was simple to repair, my husband could do it.

Hydraulic cement would be useless! It's used to seal around things that penetrate concrete walls/slabs as it expands when curing. Put on top of an uneven slab it would just pop off!

There *IS* a way to fix uneven pours and your contractor will HATE that you know the answer. They can use a concrete grinder to level things off. The machine looks kinda like a janitors floor buffer but has grinding stones instead of a buffing pad. They are most commonly used when a Terrazzo floor is installed but are also commonly used in industrial settings when a pad has to be adjusted or leveled for machine installation.

There's no such thing as evening out cement once it's cured. It has to be removed and redone. Don't pay the contractor, and have him rip up the whole thing and start from scratch. His mistake... you shouldn't have to pay for it.
NOTE: Take digital pictures in case you need to take legal action. A tip: place a newspaper from that day on the ground when taking a picture so that you can prove the date of the pictures.

Hey, no matter where you live, that sucker is set up! It's not entirely to late though, what the story on the Finisher, did you do the finish or did you hire it, if the latter, call that sucker up,and tell him, better now than another 36 hours. You didn't want a smooth finish , did you? Confess, what aren't you telling us?

Not much you can do now. Get the contractor out and get them to re-do it. Tell them it's uneven and you are unhappy with their work.

dont touch it or else if its there fault in the first palce its now your and they owe u nothing. dont be dumb and mess with it. if they wehre suppose to make it flat and its not its there problem and they gotta fix it
