ONLY as a treat. A ferret was brought to a ferret shelter that ate cherrios as a main meal and was very malnurished. The ferret was in very poor condition and was starving to death...once fed proper food the ferret gained weight and is now a very healthy ferret. Like other posters said...feed the regular cherrios and only a couple a day but it is preferred not to feed any.... ferrets do not need the carbohydrates.

Yea its fine to feed them cheerios as a treat if they like it and or as a snack if you are haveing some sure by all means give them a couple no harm done. If you are feeding them to your ferret as a full meal and he doens't weat anything else then no way ferrets need special foood and vitamins. :)

NOOO!!!!
Ferrets are carnivores and cannot digest the fiber in the Cheerios. They do not have the part of the small intestines necessary to digest fruits, vegetables and CHEERIOS(the part called the cecum).
I guess it would not kill your fert if you gave it one or maybe two A DAY for a treat, but why bother, there are better treats out there.

Yes, but try to stick to the original Cheerios [not the sugared or cinnamoned variety] and only offer a small handful as a treat.

Christ! do not pay interest to stupid suggestion, ferrets require a severe protein weight relief software in meats, no longer canines food ,and not in any respect corn, or vegetables. In a pinch kitten chow is nice for the couple of minutes period as it is about 35% protein, yet you want to get the ferret onto food it is 50% protein if he's to be healthful for the lengthy time period. There are ferret ingredients available, or you are able to bypass with EVO dry it is sturdy. locate a ferret crew on your city (they might want to be on-line) and get to conferences with them. meet up with some ferret bulletin forums. AND get the e book 'Ferrets for Dummies', it is totally sturdy. you want to be up on each and each of the standard ideas of your puppy--do not take undesirable suggestion given by strangers. examine to work out in the journey that your vet is experienced in exotics (ferrets are categorized as exotics, the vets choose particular education in them and not in any respect all of them get this education). you've a severe power animal that needs supervision at the same time as it is out, you want to ferret evidence the position and make certain it may't get in the back of and into the range and refrigerator, air vents, furnace, dryer and washer. you want to bypass each and each of the potted flora out of the ferret's attain (certain, they can climb), and also you want to grant a clutter field and ideal caged slumbering section for it. they choose socialization so they gained't chew. they prefer to no longer be stepped on--they're going to be round your ft each and each of the time. and they ought to no longer be allowed to get contained in the settee or chairs or they're going to be overwhelmed. they choose 2 hours of workout outside the cage in line with day--no longer outside as you may have them wander off way too straightforward. they prefer to have human beings contact to experience satisfied. Their eyesight is undesirable (about 3' is sparkling, after it fairly is a blur) and their sight and scent are phenominally sturdy.
