you have to use 32 oz of vinegar, with 1/4 cup of dawn dish soap. I tried it with out the soap and it did not work for me either, added the soap and it worked great. But it has to be the original Dawn dish soap.

I can't imagine why anyone would want to get rid of grass, after all it is natural. Fire will only encourage it to grow again and with a renewed life.

Try using 1-gal. full strength 9 or 10% vinegar, add 2 oz. of orange oil, and 1cup liquid molasses. This will of course kill any plant to which it is applied, so be careful with overspray!

Have seen folks use diesel to kill grass. But I won't advise you to do so. Only takes a little.

About anything that you put on the grass is going to kill the seedlings. If it were an adult tree, you could use several things, but not with the young trees that I know of.

A scuffle hoe. It will clear the area of any grass/weeds very quickly and it's great exercise.

Sprinkle salt or strong salt water solution on the grass you want to get rid of. Be sure you don't get it on anything you want to keep. Rock salt works too.

Try pouring gas on it...or light it on fire...or if you or your husband does your oil changes at home, take the old oil and pour it on the grass...my husband did that and it made me mad...lol. So I know from experience that that will work...it killed my grass...lol.

Dog urine works well. Sorry I just had to say that. Anyways, try a vegetation killer like Deadeye.
