None of my favorites play ball anymore but I used to love watching Nolan Ryan, Rollie Fingers, Dennis Eckersly, Rusty Greer, and a few others. Steve Beuchelle was about the best 3rd baseman I ever seen. They used to call him a vaccum cleaner because if it went anywhere down 3rd base side he'd suck it up. I like Will Clark as 1st baseman for the Rangers too...he always had a game face on and gave it his best. Back in the day those guys really had character. Don Mattingly was great too, even though I have never liked the Yankees. Cecil Fielder was great as well for the Tigers.

Old school it was Carlos Baerga (Cleveland Indians).
Nowadays I like Jose Reyes (New York Mets). And, I can't leave out Omar Vizquel (San Francisco Giants), either.
