Were you going to make an argument or just shout from your side of the play pen?

First, in response to netjr...you need to quit drinking the Kool-Aid and buying all the propaganda BS shoveled into your ears on a daily basis. I think you hit just about ever single Republican "talking point" there...

Now, on to ugghh...not all Democrats are petty and childish, and they can not cause the downfall of America. The Republicans have done more in the last 6 years to cause the downfall than a Democrat ever could. It took the Democrats 40 years to corrupt Congress. It took the Republicans less than 10. The fact is whichever party is in the minority is going to do whatever it can to win. When the Dems were in power, the Repubs worked behind the scenes to corrupt public opinion by constantly telling outright lies, such as the existence of a "liberal" media, when in reality, it was an "objective" media. Now, instead of the President getting a BJ from an intern, he's getting it from the Republican Congress. Now, try to tell me that won't be the downfall of American democracy if it's allowed to continue.

When you compare agendas its easy to see the Democrats have no plans other then to tax and spend. This failed Jimmy Carter and will fail a liberal democrat if one is given the chance to lead.

Look at their agenda;

Tax more for Schools - great - but they'll give it too the teachers who have done such a wonderful job so far I'm sure they will now make it better.

Tax more for health care - great - but they'll simply raise wages for nurses and rewards for lawyers which is most certain to make everyone "feel" better when they go to the hospital.

Of course they will cut some; in the defense department, cut out of Iraq; and in about 4 to 8 years al queda will regroup and probably hit us again - thanks to the cut and run (like we did in Somalia).

Don't forget adding gay marriage to a list of accomplishments; who cares what 70% of America thinks is right - they'll do what their sliver special interest groups want.

We'll probably sign the Kyoto Treaty and put our industrial capacity at third world status to help bring America down to - say - India's level.

They're view of reducing gasoline prices is simple' they'll tax it too the point you can't afford it; and use the money to spend an extra hour on a bus or train.

But don't worry; we'll not take one bloody drop of oil from our own reserves in ANWAR, over a 100 miles off our own coast or build a new refinery either. No new nuclear plants either, no new dams, but hey - we might get a new windfarm or too.

And don't forget amnesty for 12 million - after all we gave it to 3 million last time and they want to be 4x more successful then the Republicans who gave up the 3 million. In 20 years that should be 40/45 million more right.

Actually, I'm a democrat. Go see my posts. You'd be surprised.

I understand though. At the same time, we went through the same thing with the attacks on President Clinton (and there is ALWAYS some excuse for attacking our elected officials, regardless of how petty and childish, or seditious and treasonous the attack, just ask the attacker!)

How about you and me, and the rest of the Patriots, get together and let anyone who calls our present or past elected officials names, (unless they are proven in COURT to have betrayed their oaths), spreads unfounded rumors about them, or treats them as guilty until proven innocent, and teach them what we really think of sedition, regardless of whether they call themselves Democrats or Republicans? Time we were U.S.A. citizens FIRST, and political parties second. You and me are going to be on opposite sides, but if you are a Patriot, and you see me on the other side trying my best, in my own way, to do what's right for America, in a respectful and lawful way, I hope you would support me while disagreeing with my view.

I support President Bush. MY President. The system works. Our elected officials have a MUCH lower rate of criminal behavior than the general public and I would hate to be a politician with all the petty and childish, even seditious attacks upon them that undermine us all.

One more time, (look for the edit button), are all Democrats petty and childish? Can you see the Patriot over here? Aim a little lower than "Democrat" at "Seditious people". I'll join you.

I'm a Republican and I wholeheartedly disagree. What I see happening is that to question the President means your common sense and patriotism is called into question. Unfortunately most conservatives these days don't use logic, they simply start throwing labels and cliches around and act superior. I think that they (Dems) lack imagination and vision because while they can see where the President falls short they present no real alternatives. How can we say that Republicans are any different or better? I am tired of both parties as they currently exist and my party is more concerned with telling people what they want to hear vs. what needs to be done.

Anyone else find ad-hominem attacks on Democrats to be weak and childish?

Anybody else thinks you should blame your own Republican led government for the problems in the world for once?

I mean, c'mon --- how many major decisions are actually decided by the Dems anymore? Hopefully that'll change in November, though.

Well thats true, but...

...if the republicans werent so crappy themselves as a party, there wouldnt be so many people saying "anyone BUT __________ (name of some republican candidate)"

The fact that the country is cleanly divided in half is pretty strong evidence that both parties are total junk. Unfortunately, independents and third parties will never have the funding or the rapport to really take an election.

Thats what you get in a two party system. Neither party does anything well.

.democrats? petty? nahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh lol

so long as we are still voting they cant destroy every thing. we got bush re-elected at one of the most penecle times in history (refering to the supreme court) we may loose an election but knowing the dems they will screw themselfs up real fast trying to undo the forward progression we have made through this president. i personally think if we need to loose let it be to someone like hillary she isnt going to take any crap from anyone and her aragance wont let her backtrack and we will have another 8 year president and congress will resume control not to mention we have the supreme court that wont let demolitioncrats destroy to much with out overturning good luck and thank god for people who have faith in america keep on voting we are changing this 40 slide they put us in morally.....

Actually I find Republicans to be stifling as far a progress in the system goes. Mind you, we really need to elect people from a 3rd party so as to infuse freshness in our government. I can't say I'll vote for Republicans or Democrats.
