First, how do you know? Did she tell you, or has she tried? If she has told you/threatened to, GET HER HELP. An understanding adult (is your mom cool?), a counselor at school, a fave teacher (they are at school, preparing for the upcoming term-tell them it's an emergency!) a minister, a suicide hot line. Tell someone who will take you seriously, and TELL THEM NOW!! If there isn't anyone you could call, talk to her. If you know her situation and it's something she can get over (a break up, etc) tell her that she needs to stick around just to see how much better she can do. If she kills herself, it's over. Who knows what she could do with her life... She could go to college....meet someone rich...whatever you have to do to get her thinking that this is NOT the end of the world. I was the same when I was 14 or 15. But NOTHING is EVER hopeless! They may be unbearable for a while, but things can and WILL improve! If nothing else, get her thinking about how much YOU would miss her, and how it will affect YOU. Tell her she IS worthy, IS LOVABLE and LOVED!

I would call a hotline and maybe family member to tell them. I would also be there for that girl and let her know I will listen anytime night or day if she needs to talk. It is not a good way to solve any problem. People who are left behind when someone chooses suicide are forever hurt by it. There is help out there for people who feel so hopeless. I would be her best friend, and find out why she want to commit suicide and try to work out the problems together. I want to say dedicate my life for her, but I really doubt that I can truly do that. I would not be telling the truth If I said that. but If we became good friends than maybe I can say that, I would do that, and make her part of the family. Easier said than done.
