Cry Baby---I don't know why but I love this movie

From Hell- Not one of his best movies, but ok

What is eating Gibert Grape- this is just a cute movie, I would definatly watch it over again

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas- if you are in the mood for a bizarre acid trip...watch this (I did not get it)

Benny and Joon is excellent--and I don't say that much about movies. Blow is also great, as the person above me said. What's Eating Gilbert Grape was also excellent. In addition to the Secret Window--although you can almost predict the ending.

I didn't think Ed Wood was all that bad. It's great if you're any kind of B-movie buff, and if not, it's still good.

I've never seen Ed Wood or Benny and Joon but a good movie from Depp's earlier career is What's Eating Gilbert Grape. It also stars Leonardo DiCaprio (back when he was a regular on growing pains) who plays a mentally retarded child and Gilbert is his older brother. It centers around Gilbert's struggle of trying to balance falling in love and having to be the male provider of a fatherless household as well as being the caretaker for Arnie (DiCaprio). I think DiCaprio won or was at least nominated for an oscar for his performance.

Another good movie that you've probably heard of is Blow. Basically it's the story of George Jung, the man who established the American cocaine market in the 1970's. Starts from when his beginnings and into his hardcore drug dealings. It's really good.

Oooh you have come to the right place. Ok first SEE Benny and Joon. It's awesome. Then see Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Then see Once upon a Time in Mexico. The Secret Window was ok. Donnie Brasco, Nick of Time, From Hell...are all pretty fair films.

He was in the original Nightmare on Elm Street.

I didn't like Ed Wood but Benny and Joon was very cute. Have you seen CRY BABY? it is weird but just too funny. What's eating Gilbert Grape was a classic. If you are old enough From Hell is a disturbing story of Jack the Ripper. I really liked Secret Window as well.

Benny and Joon is cool along with From Hell. Theres also Secret Window which I thought ripped off another story, but at the end of the day who cares he's hot!

As for Fear an loathing in las Vegas, i bought this DVD in Bali cause my partner had seen it and swore it was hilarious. It's not maybe unless you're really wasted. He even agreed after seeing it sober that it sucked and seemed way to long. i hear the book version is much better.

What's Eating Gilbert Grape is one of my all time favorites. Benny And Joon is good....Secret Window was good if you are into Steven King type movies...If you don't mind movies that revolve around drugs, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is hilarious. Nick of time is a good movie if you are into action type thrillers. I also think he did a voice in the Corpse Bride too.

You really can't go wrong with a Depp movie, he's a very good, versatile actor.

Blow was really good and also Penelope Cruz did an awesome job as well.

Benny and Joon is still to this day one of my favorites,

If you haven't seen them, I strongly recommend What's Eating Gilbert Grape (fantastic movie!), Donnie Brasco, and the Astronaut's Wife... you can't go wrong with those ones, some of his strongest performances.
