How long and how many naps does your 10 month old take? I was just curious... my daughter only takes one nap a day now, for about two hours. I thought it was strange to only go down to one nap a day at such a young age... but maybe not? She goes to sleep at around 10:45 pm and gets up at around 9:30am.

what do you mean it's not wise for a baby to sleep and 10:45 pm?
I am surprised to see some of your babies nap less than mine!
i can't believe the one that said her 11 month old stopped taking naps all together... wow!! I thought babies kept napping until they were like 4 years old. lol:)
Also, now I don't think everyone has a 10 month, I was addressing my question those who have or had a 10 month old!

Mine is now almost a year... but I have recorded his schedules.
He napped twice a day: morning nap from 10.30 am to about 11:45 am... and afternoon nap from 3:15 pm to 4:45 pm. He went to bed at 8:00 pm sharp and would sleep till 6:30 am. Some days the naps varied in length, but on the average... what I've listed is what he stuck to.
These days it's a different story. He barely naps in the morning... and refuses to nap in the afternoon. So be prepared... just when you think you've got them trained, they make you nuts!

My 9.5 month old anps from about 11:30 to 2:30/3:00 and that's the only nap he takes. He wants an evening nap but he's waking up at night 2-3 times and I can't take it. If your baby is sleeping that well consider yourself lucky!! From a mom who can't sleep!

It is normal, children choose how much they wanna sleep and for your little girl is enough just once a day.I have a 10 month old boy and now because is winter he goes to bed at 7pm and wakes at 7-7:30am and goes for a nap around two hours after breakfeast. He sleeps for hour and half and for afterlunch sleep at 1:30-2pm for another hour and half but soon it can change and he won't need two sleeps anymore. But good luck and if she is happy and not tired everything is ok.

One nap in the afternoon, additionally approximately an hour long. and now and back she'll even take one in the evening around supper time. each toddler is distinctive nonetheless and it must be that your toddler in straightforward terms desires an afternoon nap to get in the direction of the day.

Mine never took naps and if he ever did, they were between 1/2hr-1hr max once per day that is!!... If she is not taking long naps or does not sleep through the night, then you might need to add some baby cereal in her milk. Don't make it too thick, just add a little to fill her up so she can sleep longer
2 hours is great if you can get her to do that!

My son is now 12 months old and he still takes 3 naps a day and sleeps for 12-13 hours a night. He wakes up at 7am and goes down for his first nap at 9am and will sleep until about 10-10:30am. He goes down again at 1pm and sleeps until about 2-2:30pm and then goes down for a "cat" nap at 5pm for about 30-45 min and then goes to bed at 8pm. If you ask me, she should be in bed by 9pm. But she is sleeping later too, so she's getting enough sleep at night. If she is still sleeping through the night with just one nap during the day then that must be all she needs. My son started waking up at night when I became relaxed about his nap schedule when he was about 5 months old and it took me a couple of months to figure out that he needs a very structured nap routine in order for him to get good rest at night.

A baby usually sleeps more than 2 times a day however it again depends on the baby's daily routine. Sometimes is the routine that affects her sleep and generally is not wise for a baby to sleep at 10.35pm... perhaps you may consider change of sleeping routine... in any case if your child still falls under the normal healthy range than you may not have to fret over it.
