I was/am the same way. I had only a few girlfriends from 6th grade thru 12th-and over a dozen close guy friends. Some of the girls stabbed me in the back, (stealing a boyfriend) or spread rumors, but my guy friends were TRUE. Once when I was having problems with a guy who was going into obsession mode, they approached him and told him to back off, because me telling him no wasn't working. Thankfully, he did. My guy friends were intimidating enough that he listened. I had more fun with my guy friends. I think it's that I could be myself more with them, and didn't have to worry about "competition" or feeling weird for being different. Especially, since I was a TomBoy, and wasn't in to girly stuff for a long time. Guys are more accepting. I am still friends with most of my guy friends, 18 years later!! Only 3 of my friendships with my girlfriends have survived. Just make sure any girlfriends (or wives) know that it is JUST friendship, or he may have to make a choice. Usually, you will be on the losing end. Don't let anyone tell you that you are weird, tell them that you are lucky! You get the male perspective!

No my best friend is a guy they are so much more less complikated and they aren't near as dramatic, judgemental, mean, or backstabbing. I can talk to him about everything and when my bf cheats on me he kicks their butts!!! Some people spreads rumors that we date because of how we joke around (like he is always picking me up and carrying me around skool or where ever we are ) but i ignore them. Sorry got sidetracked. No you are not weird for hangin out with guys more. Yes there is other girls like you. Don't freak out!!!

hell no. I hate to say it but its the truth usually where chicks are there will be drama and gossip. Two things I prefer not to be around. guys are much more relaxed its just a more enjoyable atmosphere (unless of course you live for drama and attention. then you can got fight the other high maintence drama queens for it lol but I'll pass...)

No, i prefer to hang with guys too.There are alot of girls I know that don't even have a girl-friend just guys. I find it cool that a girl can hang with guys when they aren't in a "dating" kinda relationship.

No, there was friend of mine while we were growing up, that used to say to me that she perfered men for friends instead of females. She had said that men seemed to be more emotional and even balanced with what they were thinking and women have atendacy of letting issures build up between relationships.
