Depends on the type of headache. Stress headache, you want blood vessels to dilate... try a hot shower, warm compresses, etc... This would work for a sinus headache as well. For migraines you want blood vessels to constrict, so caffiene, cold compress ... those sort of things.
What are your headaches like? Are you extra sensitive to light and sound? Do you feel them coming on? Or do they hit suddenly?

Try something with a good amount of caffeine in it. A Coca-Cola, some strong coffee, things like that. As long as you don't have any problems with the caffeine or sugar in your system, you should be alright. I had depression for 9 years before it resolved itself and due to some of the medication I had to take, I ended up with insomnia and constipation. Not fun. I think chamomile tea is good for headaches too and mint. You are going to have to experiment with things on your own with this stuff to see which one works the best for you. I would also suggest hitting a health food store and see what remedies they have on the shelf their. Out here we have Henry's Market or Whole foods but I am not sure if they are on the web or not. If so, I know they have specific headache remedies which should be carried by all similar stores. Good luck with it all!!

When I get headaches they are bad. So what I do is lay in bed (totally dark and silent) with a cold washrag on my head then they go away. Another thing I did was got more sleep on a nightly basis which reduced the number of them.

I get headaches alot to. What I do is massage the the side of my hand really hard. I know it sounds weird but it works. There is a pressure point between your thumb and your pointing finger (The finger next to the thumb) and I just take my other thumb and finger and massage it and it works and if it hurts while your massaging it that means it's working. It's wierd but try It!!!

See a chiropractor. I have learned, since going to one on a regular basis, that you shouldn't get headaches. I usually go to my chiro, he does his thing and the headache instantly goes away and i'm good for a while.

caffeine. aside from acetaminophen, caffeine is the other active ingredient in excedrin migraine medicine. i always suggest to people to try drinking a coke or some coffee, get a cool cloth to place on the forehead, and go to a quiet place. also, taking some tylenol with the caffeine seems to work, but since youre aiming to stay away from meds, id suggest trying the caffeine.

Cold Flannel on the forehead, Lemsip/Hot Lemon Water. A humid room can help too. Relaxation, not dark, but dim lights, and depending on the individual certain weak scents can help (for me its burning candles)
