the first sign of getting your first period is spotting. tell your mom or another close female you can trust. I'm sure she'll be more then happy to answer any questions you have about periods. as for now, you just have to wait! but its probably a good idea to keep some pads or tampons accessible

Congrats "j"! As my mom told me, you're a woman now! :) I bet it's really scary, but you are probably just nearing (or already started) your period. LOTS of us girls have periods; it's something we deal with, and that makes us special as women.
If it's just your period, you don't need to go see a doctor; there is nothing wrong with you. Going to a doctor for yearly check-ups is a good thing once you're sexually active, but it wouldn't be a bad thing to have a good ob/gyn (a doctor who deals with "womenly" issues).
If you are close to your mom or know another adult female who you could talk to (maybe an aunt, your school nurse, or a friend's mom) it would be good to talk to them about it. Hopefully they will be able to tell you about what to expect, help you get some pantiliners or tampons, and be happy for you! This is an exciting time in your life, and you should NOT be afraid or embarassed.
For a day or two, you might consider wearing a pantiliner or pad, just to make sure you don't get your undies dirty in case your period starts to get heavier (flow more.) They might be a little uncomfortable for a little while until you get used to them, but they really are better then the alternative! :) (ie, dirty underwear.)
Congrats again on becoming a woman!! :)

U might be starting soon. Does it hurt? Srry kinda personal. I am just asking b/c if it hurts it's not ur period. Drink lots of water, and if it gets too weird go to ur doctor.

It looks like it. It was really scary for me at 1st. If you are between 9 and 15 or so then probably. You might want to tell your mom so she can help you get what you need.

Yes you could be getting your period. You could also have a serious urinary tract infection. If it is painful for you to urinate and you have pain in your lower abdomen or a fever, see a doctor. You can also talk to your mom or another female adult you feel comfortable with about this.

You should be getting close to getting your period. It is helpful to talk to your doctor about it. He/She will give you some good advice for that kind of situation.
