I hope not, I would like to see more buffet restaurants than Wal-Mart anyday.

Unlikely. Wal-Mart is huge but not invincible. They are big because they have taken advantage of the market condition where they can dictate to suppliers favourable terms. However, I do not believe that this will be sustainable forever. Eventually a number of brand names will refuse to cave into Wal-Mart's terms and be successful.

A similar situation happened in the 1930's in the supermarket industry, where the Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company had an even larger share of the market than Wal-Mart has today. Just how A&P stores to you see nowadays?

Walmart will go the way of K-Mart before that ever happens. It's already on the way there.

LOL. I do think so! They've already got a great start. Their only real opposition is Target, and I've heard that Target is beginning to die. It's unfortunate, though. I prefer their baby gear selection over Wal-mart's.

No, the attitude of themanagers is driving people away in droves. I quit in May at the one I was working at because of the disrespect they gave their workers, and since I quit, there have been more than a hundred other people quit.

No, it'll spread out so far it won't be able to keep itself from falling apart like Rome.

ACTUALLY! Soon, people will buy their groceries online, so Wal-Mart better get into that or else they will be left behind.

They would like to. But with a 50% turnover rate, they are bound to eventually piss off enough people to put them out of business.
