I'm 21 and have been playing piano for 16 years now, and piano will always be my first love.
I also play multiple percussion instruments, but primarily mallet percussion. Marimba and vibes happen to be my favorite. I also have been playing guitar for five years or so.
I think all kids should be introduced to playing musical instruments...

I took flute lessons in 5th grade...not for the whole year, though. Probably not even a month. I pretty much gave it up back then, because I just wasn't good at reading music.
If I had time, I wouldn't mind trying to take up learning to play the flute again, or another instrument. Maybe I'd understand the music reading better now.

I know how you feel, dont worry you will get it back within a few years if you have enough money... there is a revolutionary new technology that is basicly inserting a microphone into your ears and plugin it into your brain. i cant hear but i can play instruments. i have no idea if im good or not but from what people (write) tell me im quite good. learn to read peoples lips. dont end your life as you still have alot to go. think of notes as words and make sentences. you can become famous. even in the hardest situations you are great. be thankful some people dont have vision and are mute. just make the most of life as it is and wait for a cure.

I learned to play the piano in 3rd, a flute in 7th, and a piccolo in 8th. I still play all three but my favorite is the piccolo because it is hot pink and silver but i am better at my flute wich i have won some medals with. One of my favorite piecies is The Tenth Planet by Michael Story. I learned how to play it in seventh grade and even though the piece is kinda easy it is still my favorite!!!

Both my parents were musicians so I learned to play quite a few. The only two I still play are piano and flute.

I started playing bass seven years ago and still play to this day. I actively took lessons for three years then ran out of cash.
