75 year old lady kick over my gnome statues and call me gringo? I'm not sure if I can afford my mortgage payment next month if I have to replace another one.

I try not to get upset, but sometimes I can't help it. I responded one time with 'Aye chupacambra' and then she drop elbowed the gnome.

Sounds like a case of gnomicide.

We'll put one of our best elves on the case right away.

Because she doesn't like you. I agree with not buying another gnome. This is a terrible thought, but if she's 75, then it won't be much longer till you don't have to put up with her anymore. I imagine some day you will laugh about the neighbor you once had that kicked over your gnomes. Just to get back, I would buy some really cheap ones and stick them all over HER yard! That'd get her bloomers in a bunch!

Take pictures of her kicking the gnomes, and then take her to small claims court to have her pay for the gnomes, along with the court costs, and the time you missed from work having to persue this matter.

I know some people are going to say that because she's elderly and retired that you shouldn't persue the matter. I say, what difference does it make whether she's 75 or 25. Destruction of property is destruction of property, I don't care how old the perpitrator is.

You'd replace a stupid gnome before making a payment on your mortgage? Sounds like you have some of your priorities messed up.

now now, the little lady is lonely and wants your attention! Shes 75 yrs old for peat sake. Get some flowers from her garden and put em in a nice vase with a nice little note. Tell her thank you for looking out for your property, and to have a nice day. Kill her with kindness , no doubt this will work, its called reverse physcology.. If she isn't senile yet, she will remember seeing them flowers someday.ha! This will get her goat.. Don't lower yourself to her level, shes just a little ole lady that feels angry at the world cause she knows shes old and I bet it scares her.. Just try and be kind and blow it off. and MAN MAKE YOUR MTG PAYMENT. Anyone in their right mind would never put a materialist thing infront of their needs.. we all want, but you should know having a home comes first.. be glad you own one.

Stop buying those darn gnomes then tell the lady that she needs to stop kicking over your gnomes. If she has family, see if you can talk with them about her behavior and maybe they can curtail it a little bit.

She does it because she's probably mean or crazy.

But like someone else said, why are these gnomes a higher priority than your mortgage?

I'd call the cops on her anyway. She sounds like she's just a nutcase.

Tell her you love her as a neighbor and think she is cute...flattery will win her over...and don't put the gnome too close to her property line...she may be superstitious.

Maybe she's just senile or she's a chuck norris wanna be. If you're that close to broke, that gnome isn't doing you much good!

This woman sounds lonely and possibly looking to take out her frustration on someone that is of a native background that she isn't a-likin' to.
Have you tried to be neighborly to her? Do something unexpected? Surprising? Cookies, fresh bread, flowers, etc. may open a door for communication.
If all else fails, it may be time to get the law involved.....this is distruction of property. Maybe she shouldn't be on her own.......
