You have 10 days to go to the local DMV (it might be called something else). Fill out an application for a new license. Indicate your current driver's license state and number in the appropriate boxes on the application. Be sure to bring your current license and $12.
If you are moving, don't count on having both licenses for two forms of ID. They destroy the old one.

I assume you're talking about your drivers license? I just moved a few months ago and all I had to do was go to the Driver's License station and tell them I moved. They changed my address and issued me a new license and it only cost $1.00. I didn't have to take any tests, just had the picture redone. Hope this helps!

Different states vary. Some make you take the full test, some give you a written test, others just have you pay the fee and give you a license.

I think you can have it for three weeks (not sure about that but I'm pretty sure) and then you need to go to the local DMV and get a license for your new state.
