Every avenue that existed before the computer age still stand true as legitimate forms of job application.

Most government jobs require you to down load or phone up for an application package so you can address specific criteria.

One can purely use the internet to seek work if they wish, however phonecalls and knocking on doors still get people work.

Some employers provide an opportunity for Internet-based applications. However, when reading the job ad, apply for the job the way the employer asks. Sometimes they prefer people to send it by mail for an original signature. Sometimes an email address is set up for applications to be sent, etc. However, one needs to find jobs through a variety of means: networking, newspapers, job fairs, cold calls, etc.

Yes that is the only way to go these days. As you can find more opening this way and just summit your resume with a cover letter if needed to apply for jobs. But going out and looking does not hurt either depending on the type of job that is desired.

it would depend on the type of work he is looking for. If he's looking for something that will require a resume instead of just walking in and filling out an application, then he might just find a job on the computer.

If he's looking for just "any job" he should go to the employers and fill out an application. Of course he can find out who's hiring and what they are hiring from the computer.

I believe in the old fashion way!!!!! Some people can find jobs on the net but I think it's easier to get off ur butt and go find a job in the real world.
