I read about a group of Japanese businessmen from JAL came to the US to invest in a corporation. They got a huge presentation, flip charts, slide shows the works. After two and half hours they were asked what do you think? The response was "we don't understand". When they were asked since when? They said "since the lights went out, can you do the whole thing over"? You can guess who got what they wanted from that negotiation....

I think if you go in with the idea that you want it to be a 'win-win' situation that you will not only come out with what you want and be happy, but so will the other side. That is good business. If you go in with the idea that you just want what you want and that's it, you will have big struggle.

Read Sun Tzu's Art of War.
In it, he said, "If all else has been surrendered and there is no clear path through the trees, hold your breath until you turn blue."
Good advice, my friend, good advice.
