uhh.. All sterotypes are based on truth.. wheather it applies to you its still a generalization for a group of people..
If you let stereotypes bother you.. You wouldnt consume media... this includes the internet, books, tv, movies, radio and so on.. Basically all Mass Communicated Media..
The problem is.. When the stereotypes dont apply to you, you accept the other stereotypes against other groups..

Stereotypes usually have some truth to it or else how do people build these ideas about a certain ethnicity? It is quite embarassing when your own race starts acting them out... you just want to scream: IT'S YOU PEOPLE THAT MAKE OTHER PEOPLE PORTRAY US NEGATIVELY!

The thing about stereotypes is that, believe it or not, they usually apply to everyone, regardless of race. It just seems worse when it's our own people are out there making fools of themselves because we somehow feel their actions reflect badly on us personally. That's my take on it anyway.

stereotypes are only true on an individual basis...white people not being able to dance...is crap..I can samba with the best of them..
ignorance does not discriminate..it hits everyone equally..

yes, i love chicken, watermelon, and many of the other stereotypes are true with me. Its a little funny. reminds me of that Dave chappell episode.
