I would have to say either Pachelbel Canon in D major (little known fact, Pachelbel actually didn't compose it! His variation of it is the most commonly listened too though.) or Ode to Joy, but Canon is leaning closer to favorite. It is 11:30 so I can't really think of many :P but I'm going to sleep soon, maybe all your indefinately great answers can help me remember a few other good ones. Thank you for taking the time to at least read this, and have a great night!

I have three favorites. I really like the Bach concerto for two violins. I've played violin since I was 7, and I have heard this piece a million times, and I still love hearing it. I also really like the Samuel Barber Adagio for Strings. It's a slow song, but it is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. Some of you may recognize it as the theme song to the movie Platoon. My last favorite would have to be Sibelius's Finlandia. I'm finnish, so I'm a bit partial to the Finnish composer, but I also love the melody, to me it is a very exciting and cool piece. I play violin and bass in orchestra, so I've also had the great experience of playing all three of my favorite pieces!

Bach-Air on the G-string (this is not a joke, by the way, it was written before there was that 'other' connotation for G-string)
Shostakovich- The Gadfly, esp. #7
Chopin-Nocturne in E flat
Mascagni-Cavelleria Rusticana
Beethoven-Moonlight Sonata
and your choice, Pachelbel's Canon in D

To name but a few
So much beautiful music, so little time.

I have 2 absolute favorites. Canon D and Fur Elize. Not sure who the composers are but I absolutely love those 2 classical pieces.

hmmm....classical?...so many good things!... well, I'll just say this much I <3 Russian Composers. Mussorgsky's Night on Bald Mountain, Rimsky-Korsakov's Flight of the Bumblebee, or Russian Eastern Overture. Yea, even Tchaikovsky > Mozart in my opinion at least.
