Yep, they sure can. The fact that your nerve for your ear controls your balance ( Vestibularcochlear) is the reason for that. If you have fluid in your ears as from a sinus infection, it can cause vertigo, dizziness, etc... until you remove that fluid. Antihistimines, decongestants, etc... can help with this problem.. ask your doctor what's right for you.

Oooooooh yes! It throws off your equal librium which makes you quite dizzy. If you are sure it is a sinus problem try taking two Benedryl's every 4 to 6 hours. It may make you sleepy. If it doesn't help at all within 3 to 4 days then you should go see your doctor. It could be an infection which would require an antibiotic. Take care and I sincerely hope you are feeling better soon!

You have perfectly described a rather nasty sinus infection, with involvement of either one or both ears (eustachian tubes.) If I were you, I'd get to a doctor (pretty quickly.) I've had sinus infections before that made me so dizzy, I actually fell down. And, I had an ear infection within the past year that caused me to lose my hearing in one of my ears. Until you can get to a doctor, take 2 Benadryl (every 4 to 6 hours) and increase your fluid intake. This will get things draining, that need to be draining.

I have Meniere's Disease= hearing loss, increased pressure in the ears, ringing (tinnitus), and vertigo (dizziness, room spinning). Don't have the symptoms all the time, but they do get worse during allergy season, when i come in contact with something i am allergic to (perfume) and with sinus congestion. MD Rx'd me "Antivert" which is the same as over the counter dramamine or Bonine for motion sickness. If you don't have a sinus infection, you may want to try one of these to see if they help.

They can affect your inner ear, which can throw off your equilibrium. I remember when I was about 12 I had a sinus infection, and I was lying on the couch, but it felt like I was riding a roller coaster. Yuck.

Don't know about that, but my dizziness was due to low blood sugar.

yes. sinuses have a direct relation with your equilibrium. Your equilibrium is controlled in your inner ear, when your sinuses are backed up the excess pressure can cause your balance to be thrown off.
