it depends. what do you mean by obsessed? at 14 staring into a mirror can result in serious psychological complications. if it's just a vain fascination with how your hair looks, that's one thing. if the 14 yr old is staring inside themselves and have no proper mentor to proctor them during this experience it can have similar effect to taking mind-altering drugs. child should talk to a counselor. a qualified counselor. there can be issues that are not being properly addressed.

Well it depends upon the purpose of that. If it is your purpose to collect mirrors, then there is nothing wrong with that but if it's because you like to see your face always or to make sure you look good all the time that's another thing. Being too conscious about your appearance is not good. There would be two things you would want to imply to people around you about your obsession. It is either your boasting about how you look or it's the other way around. But usually it shows how insecure you are about your appearance. Don't be like that. It is alright to look at the mirror from time to time to see how you look but don't over do it. It would be a total turn off. Instead of spending time in your obsession, try to find other ways to spend your time at the same time enjoying it. Try involving other people too. Who knows you might be keeping away people close to you (unconsciously) just because of your obsession. Time will come you will loose them to your obsession!!! I beg you don't wait for that. It will only be the saddest part of your story. So before time will ran out try to spend time talking and enjoy the company of your family and friends instead of facing the mirror. The mirror will never tell how much your appearance is appreciated or how beautiful/handsome you are inside out. It is the people around you who is your actual mirror so try to face them not the mirror. God bless!!!

Nothing is wrong. Confidence is gained by liking the way you look, but along with that is the way you carry yourself. Hold your head high and be pleased with your appearence. Cut down your mirror time in 1/2 then in 1/2 again.... You'll be fine.
