BEATLES HANDS DOWN!
1.i'll take abbey road, let it be,revolver, rubber soul over any zep album fact is if you gave me a song from houses of the holy and told me it was from zeppelin 1 id beleive you u cant tell the diffrence in any zeppelin album they had no concept in their albums as oppose to the beatles evry beatle album has a concept
2. tour? zeppelins tours were great but never generated the excitement the first us tour done by the beatles in 64 ignited. fact is no one ever did!
3. i do beleive the beatles sold a much more considerable amount of albums than led zep, heard most on radio,tv,news and internet? no competition beatles hands down and i dont think no other band will reach the mythical status of the beatles ''aora''
the real question should be pink floyd vs led zeppelin for the #2 band, the beatles are just in a class of their own

Greater album: Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band, or The White Album, The Beatles Greater Song: Where the hell would you even start? Heard the most: Beatles hands down (wait a few years untill the baby boomers die off and then maybe Zeppelin) Sold most albums: Beatles The greater band: The Beatles

lisa m , you are so wrong, if anyones songs sound the same its led zeppelin's, as jonas k rightfully explained, any zeppelin song from zep 1 to houses of the holy or any album sounds completly the same, except their later stuff wich sounds like billy joel or elton john , fact is the only real reason that zeppelin deserves to be mentioned in the same breath as the beatles is their acoustics without them, just another loud abnoxiouse band like deep purple or black sabbath and the boy band theory? that simply proves the beatles were accepted in diffrent societys the goody goody society, the physchedellic society, and the hippy society the three very stages the beatles changed in and out of as oppose to zeppelin that stayed in the same place! zeppelin nor anyone else ever really has come close to the magnitud that is the beatles its just that simple! zeppelin were great but not greater than the beatles....!

Zeppelin was by far better than the Beatles. Sure, the Beatles may have been better known, but many of their songs all sound the same, are about the same topics. Their music is very repetitive. Led Zeppelin's music is very unique, and always has a new element to it. They sound a bit like a modern rock band, even in the present. Led Zeppelin is a true rock band, the Beatles were basically a boy band in their time.

You have to ask this question? Who made Sgt. Pepper? Which was the most influential group of all-time? Which one had to quit touring because of all the insane screaming from the fans? Which group is being played somewhere at every minute of every day? I hope you didn't answer Led Zeppelin to any of those questions. Comparing the two is like comparing apples to oranges. Compared to the Beatles Led Zeppelin is a high school marching band!

Zeppelin has better staying power than the Beatles... John Lennon tended to write gibberish and Paul McCartney's songs are like advertisement jingles. Zeppelin has cajones!!!
