Black Beard's Ghost is funny if you're in the mood for a comedy, so is the Princess and the Pirate with Bob Hope. On a more serious note I'd check out Master and Commander with Russell Crowe, the live action Peter Pan with Jason Isaacs, Real Pirates of the Caribbean is a documentary that is really good, Pirates: Dead Men Tell Their Tales...the list is endless.
Go to www.amazon.com search DVD's for the word Pirates, you'll have over 82 movies to choose from. Enjoy!

The Black Swan is a good one. Classic movie with great stars. The Pirate Movie is one my kids love, with Kristy McNichol and Christopher Atkins. It is pretty cheesy, but has it's moments. It is based on the Pirates of Pensance. After that, Pirates of the Caribbean are the best by far.

"The Crimson Pirate". This movie made in the late 50's starred Burt Lancaster doing his own stunts. He was a former circus acrobat. Another great movie is "Captain Blood" with Errol Flynn. Both movies are great entertainment for all.

I would definiate suggest The Black Swan...its a classic pirate movie with Tyrone Power and Maureen O'Hara about Henry Morgan.
I would also suggest one with Yul Brynner called The Buccaneer it takes place during the War of 1812 and its about Jean Lafitte and him helping Andrew Jackson in New Orleans

None could ever beat pirates. I dont know of any other movie, besides if there is, it would be just a waste.

The best one I've seen, I can't remember the name of it, all I know is that it was rated Arrrrrrrrrrrr.......
