Would you rather meet a girl then get to know her, like be friends first THEN ask her out, or just ask her out once you see her?

What's wrong with either one? If you may not see her again, you had better take a chance now. If you know that you will see her again, you can take your time.

Well possibly both...say you know the girl from seeing her at school and such then maybe you would just go for the asking her out part...but say you met a girl in a bar....i think you might want to get to know her first before you begin dating...she could possibly be bad news

Friends first, then see what happens. I think it makes most sense, don't you? Gives both time to get to know each other before moving on to deeper relationship. If the romantic part doesn't work out, at least you'll still have a friend.

A guys intention is always to ask her out, unless she's not all that attractive. Sometimes if you're not immediatly attracted you become friends and an attraction can grow, however 99% of the time a mans first thought is not friendship.

I will definitely want to know her first and be friends first. If I think she is compatible then ask her out for a drink. I do not think I will frighten her off by rushing things.

Its always best to start out as friends. you can get to know each other better and see if it would work going on a date and more

Ask her out once I saw her. That's how I met most of my ex's. I can't seem to date female friends, but that's just me. Not all guys are like that.
