The music wasn't outstanding, nor were the lyrics. It was more of a cultural movement that made them popular...they were the right groove at the right time. I've never been a fan; I don't really dislike them, but like I said, I think you had to live in that generation to really "get it."

Play Dark Side Of The Moon on a good stereo and you tell me. Animals was also really good as was most of Wish You Were Here and The Wall. But Dark Side is the standard and about the best album ever made. If you can't hear for yourself I can't explain the attraction of them. Just good melodies, well written songs, memorable hooks, and great spacy thick guitar with a lot of echo and reverb.

Pink Floyd and me. I'm a fan that way, just like the others, so that's pretty much why.

They were just decades ahead of their time. They combined amazing sounds and made a spectacular product. I'm just praying sometime in the near future enough of the members will agree to a reunion tour.

I have no idea! Hubby jams to their music and I just sit there and shake my head wondering what is so great about this music. LOL

I mean I like that "all in all we're just another brick in the wall" and "Hellooooo! Is there anybody in there?" well part of it anyway. LOL
I just don't see what all the fuss is about.
