No, it's plant cellulose, and will be digested or treated as fiber, and passed - shouldn't do anything.

lol, a cotton ball, i can't imagine how u did that, but i wouldn't worry to much, i don't think it'll hurt u...but if u start to get like a stomach ache or something then u can like for a doctors clinic and ask....if they say no, it might just be bcuz u r paranoid it will...i wouldnt' give it a second thought. just laugh at the idea of swallowing a cotton ball

no. It'll breakdown to a less poofier form in your stomach and just come out the other end as waste. I think cotton maybe made up of cellulose which is not really digestable by human bodies anyways. But im not expert. If your worried consult a dr in the family.

i just swallowed a cotton ball too, i had a tooth ache and i put some tooth ache meds on it but my mouth started watering so bad and i accidentally swallowed it.

Will Ferrell did that on Elf, and it didn't seem to hurt him. But for real, though, I've eaten paper before and that didn't hurt me. Just as long as the cotton ball didn't have like, nail polish remover on it or anything, you should be fine. Hopefully...

Hmmm....this is a first for me! Being a medical assistant, I've never had anyone with that problem. I would just pay attention to your body in the next few days and if you start to have any severe abdominal pains, then get checked. Your body may just pass it naturally, but just keep an eye on yourself..just in case.
