Over 30 yrs old - gift card. Under 30 - clothes or jewelry.
Over 50 - we have been there & done that, one more peice of jewelry & I will scream. Any number of gold rings over 10 seems crazy. Too many gifts & too much shopping.

Nothing of a personal nature. Perhaps a basket with a nice wine and some good cheese, cracker assortment. A set of crystal wine glasses, napkins, etc. Use your imagination

I say go with a gift certificate. I know it's not very personal but you can never go wrong with one. You know she'll use it and she can pick out whatever she wants or needs. Or get her one for her favorite restaurant.
