Populace in 2 ....eh Slayer ISN't Punk... so what does that have to do with her labeling herself "Punk"...
And yea..Slayer is a f*ucking SIC thrash/heavy metal band from the 80's and is currently on tour with Children of Bodom, Mastodon, Lamb of God, and Thine Eyes Bleed for the Unholy Alliance Tour...

Slayer is a Death Metal band that started in the 80's I believe. Really fast riffs, lyrics about mostly the occult, death, satan, and so on. I would have to believe that the website is www.slayer.net.

Slayer is probably the most renowned and most consistently popular metal band in the world. They are all excellent musicians, and if you'd like to start listening to them, may I suggest starting with Show No Mercy (released in 1983). It remains my favorite record of theirs, though Reign In Blood is awesome as well.

It's a thrash band best known for their mid-80s "Reign in Blood" album. They're a good representation for the style they represent, but they're not as technical or skilled as, say, Megadeth.
