usually, the name/logo of the watchmaker is located top center (12 noon) - the hands at 10:10 allow the name to show, and provide a nice 'frame' on both sides to highlight it.

I heard somewhere that clocks are always 10:10 because on round non-digital clocks, it looks like a smiley face.
