Billy Wagner used "Sandman" before Rivera did so if the implication is that he "stole" the song from Mariano, think again. Independent of that common Yankee fan misconception, if they both want to use the same song, let them. If every reliever wanted to use the same song, let them. It's in the public domain and, more to the point, it's no big deal.

the real question here should be "should mariano rivera get his own song?"

fact is, billy wagner began using "enter sandman" BEFORE rivera did, and additionally, rivera didnt even choose the song for himself.

the fact that this even became an issue with yankee fans after wagner was signed by the mets just shows and proves the arrogance of a vast majority of yankee fans.

Yes, and he will never be as great as Mariano Rivera.

Maybe the Flying Dutchman or The Valkyrie, though I guess the entire operas would be a bit long.

If Rivera cared, then I'd say yes. But he's said numerous times that he doesn't, so no one else should care either.
