Understand how the publishing world works. I found a fascinating book on it many years ago; but can't remember the title. There is a wealth of info available at you local public library. Then write the first chapters to it and present it as uniquely and originally as you can think of...be creative and original to get their attention. I almost succeeded by using an unique "back door" approach...but a very famous author beat me to it.
I knew I was on to something when I received a letter from his lawyer explaining to me that he did not copy my idea and that it was at the printers even as we speak. He also sent me a gold embossed, autographed limited edition of the book in question. I haven't attempted it again...but when I am ready...I will. It was very encouraging. The most important part is to believe in your own work. Good Luck!

depends on the issues in the book, if it's a good idea take it to random house or some publisher like that. If not, then go to the small publishers.

BLOG it. If it gets a very large following, then you could approach publishers and show that your idea sells and that the book will make MONEY. That would make publishers very interested. And if it does become a real "hit", publishers might even bid to get your idea published

After you write it, go to the library reference section and get "Writer's Handbook"
Under the publishers section, see what houses might be interested in publishing your book.
Usually they want the first three chapters and a synopsis for the rest of the book.
Do check requirements, as some do not accept unsolicited scripts, preferring you to use a literary agent.

Before you sign anything...get it copyrighted. Then submit copies to certain editors you would like to see your book. Now this is the hard part...getting them to even look at your book. So I would be the squeeky wheel that gets the oil. If you want to be sure of exactally how to submit it...call the editors or publisher you want to send it to...and ask how they go about it. Good Luck

Well, first you get a piece of paper and a pen...:)
No, really, write it first, then you can figure out where and how to publish it. There's a real easy way call self-published eBooks...:)

Write it first. Then look for a publisher. If no one wants to print it, then blog it.
