You are eternally important. You have no idea how you will touch others' lives or what plans God has for you. What you do now will not only effect your eternal soul, but also the lives of your children, grandchildren and many others that were touched by the work of you life.
Perhaps you need to take a look at what fills your life and determine whether or not it is worthy of the time and effort you are putting into it.

You never know what will happen in those 100 years. Years from now something could happen that could make you wish you were around longer. Plus, if you have kids it's nice to know that you did something that makes their life better than your own. Parents want there kids to have more than they did.

You never get rewarded for the name and position in this world but for the deeds you do that get remembered. There's only one person you need to care of; and thats your own conscience.Its the quality of life you lead that matters and not the quantity.
