If you have a mute button on your keyboard or your speakers, make sure it wasn't bumped. Most of the time, the mute button will have an image that looks kind of like a horn with a line through it. Also check your volume level to make sure it isn't turned all the way down.
To check your connections, follow the wire from the back of your speakers to your computer. Some SoundBlaster models have a woofer box the individual speakers connect to. Check those connections then follow the wire from the woofer to the computer. Make sure the power cable is plugged in also. It may have gotten knocked loose.

First thing you want to check is to see if your sound got muted. Go to the control panel and click on Sounds. see if there is a check in the box for mute. You can also check the back of your computer to see if the cable got pulled out. Most speakers and sound cards are color coded to make it easy to put it in the correct spot.
Let me know if you need any other help

It sounds like it could be any number of things. If it is a loose connection, (which I doubt,) try opening the CPU to see if your sound card is attached--Sorry, thats all I can type for now-
