It seems we are waiting longer these days. At what age does it become dangerous for the baby?

Depending on the woman's health, normally around 35-40 is a good time to stop trying to have children. It's possible for a woman to have a child all the way into her 70s sometimes, but it's not altogether safe due to her own health conditions. It's usually not reccomended to have children at all after 45, regardless of health because of higher risks of birth defects. Although if you think about it, the woman would be retiring by the time the kid is going to college then, and that wouldn't work out well anyway.

If you are asking this question because you're planning on having a baby: Good luck!!
If it was just a random question: Now you know!

The only dangerous age to have a baby too me is when your not able to take care of it. I dont care if you 30 if you are not able to be matur about having a baby then it could end up dangerous for the child.....But as far as health wise I feel that if your healthy then you can have a healthy baby it doesnt matter if your 50 or more.

Teenage is said not to be good because of the low birth weight and over 35 you are at risk for having a child with down syndrom. The older you get the greater your chance. I had my first baby at 19 (unplanned) and I want to have my next baby by the time I 22 (plan) and then NO MORE!

it is always risky there is always a danger but worse for the baby if mom is under 25 or over 40

I say its a risk if the mom is under 25 because lets face it -how many women under 25 are homeowners with enough cash saved up to be able to provide a child with a good future in this day and age??
can a 17 yr old give her kid braces? can a 18 yr old give her kid a yard to play in and the security of living in a OWNED home? can a 19 yr old put the child ahead of herself?
can a 20 yr old realize that sometimes if you love kids you DO NOT HAVE THEM?

35 years or older is more threatening to a mom and baby. after 35, a baby is 4 times more likely to be born with a genetic defect like autism or downs syndrome just to name a few. so. 35 or older is more complicated and dangerous.

I think that as long as you are healthy there is not really any danger. The only risks are that the baby is more likely to have down syndrome.
