the husband I'm divorcing. He took me away from a professional job to bear and raise our children full time, made me responsible for all the details of home/children/etc. while he pursued an advanced degree, then rocked my world by impregnating a 21 year old student of his and losing his job and reputation. To show my appreciation? I intend to do quite well without him, thank you very much.

My parents, because they have been there for me since and even though I wasn't the best child in the world as I was growing up I learned so much from them for disciplining me and leading me to the right path. I have a hard time comunicating with my parents so the way I show my appriciation is doing them favours without them asking and helping them around, taking them to lunch on random days, and such. As much as I want to let them know how much I am thankful of everything, it's a bit hard since we kind of grew apart since I'm older now, but they know they did a good thing for me.

My mother. She carried me, she raised me, she takes pleasure in constantly creating a plethora of emotional scars that will never heal, but then does random nice things after acting like a she-devil...things I do to show my appreciation are listening to her for hours on the phone while she complains about my dad and crazy brother and occaisionally waver in my mind about the future and between putting her in a nursing home with fruit tidbits in the jello, or a home with plain jello, or a home with no jello...but I usually pick the home that puts fruit in the jello b/c I care.

One is my father, he was my guardian angel. I lost him.
Second was my husband, who showed me all the colours of the pain.
I think I did good in life, as my appreciation was unconditional love for both, and no such thing as doing any sacrifices for them. They knew that my heart was in their hands.
