Honey, I wish this was my story. I was so sheltered and a "good girl" in High school that when college came I went buck wild. You have learned a valuable lesson at a young age. Do your best to get the GPA up? You may have to settle for a community college for the first two years just to prove yourself. Remember to ask your guidance counselor for advice now to help with possible scholarships now or extras that can make you more attractive on college admission forms.

Our parents just don't like us to stumble and make mistakes they have seen others or maybe even themselves make. Sometimes, we have to fall in order to rise....be positive and Good Luck.

Okay, so mom is being a little over, but she is right. Your over-all is what colleged look at. I fought like a banshee with my youngest son over school, for 12 years. He got to college and always got straight A's. Dean's List. The whole gammit. I asked him why he did so well in college when I had to threaten death to get him through high school. You know what he said, Mom, hight school was free, I'm paying for college.

Your GPA is gonna have an enormous effect on college. Don't kid yourself into believing they will only look at your last two years.
