You need a doctor to check it because some birthmarks could be cancerous. I would not get it lasered as I feel the child is still too young. There are worse things in life than a birthmark. Maybe you just think it looks bad but it really isn't... It is hard to say. I would wait until later...

Go ahead and have it done, at a doctor's so say. It will be easier on your child and you at this age. You don't want your kid being teased all his life over something that could be fixed so easily. My son had a webbed hand, he went through 2 surgeries before he was a year old. He bounced back like nothing had happened and didn't require anything more than baby advil for the pain. Its a hard situation, but I've been there, take my advice and go ahead and have it done. Don't wait until he is older because it can cause serious emotional distress due to teasing. Kids are harsh, save your son the emotional pain. I guarentee he will be playing like nothing happened in a few days.

I guess it would depend on where it located and how big. My sister had a birthmark on the side of her face and when she was 21 she had it removed. It did not seem to bother her.

I think I would wait. Is the birthmark that big or noticeable? My daughter has a big birthmark on her back and it gives her personality.

My sister had one on her face and it went away as she grew up i personally wouldnt make a big deal about it , if you dont she wont , by the time she is old enough to let it worry her it will probably be gone , but it could possibly stay there if so i think when she is older she should diside as removing could make it worse eather way.

No. I would leave it up to my child. It is up to them what they want to do. If the birthmark is terribly disfiguring and/or affects everyday life, I probably would, but it sounds like you just want your child to look good. It isn't really your choice, is it?

relies upon on how huge and what variety. theres some that are extensive im speaking protecting the full face then sure i could do away with it. if its small like the dimensions of a dime then depart it. it is going to vanish some and if its a woman she would be able to disguise it up with make up whilst shes older. mine has a strawberry birthmark on the component of her head. it has diminished alot with the aid of the years. it replace into length of a penny whilst she replace into born

u need to have it looked at by a pediactic dermatologist. my son is 16 mts and has had 2 surgeries so far to remove his birthmark, for ur childs health get it looked at. my sons condition does have a chance to become cancerous if not treated...thats why we are removing it now...while he is young and wont remember.....if u need to talk more, email me at lilimama4@yahoo.com

Leave it alone and let him decide when he is older. He may like it or it may go away on it's own.

There is no need to put your child through that at such an early age
