I can see your points Scarlettlady but here is the other side too.
I am 5'3" tall and my husband is 6'2" tall! I do wear the stilettos when we go out but it's only for a few hours at a time. I can handle that without any pain. I agree wearing them every day or wearing them around a man who isn't much taller than you to begin with may cause issues but if the circumstances are right, go for it!
Good question

it's not painful to everybody. I have flat feet and I make it better in a pair of heels than in flats any day. And about the height thing, I'm 5'7 and I've never cared about that. I started wearing 2 and 3 inch heels when I was 15, my boyfriend at the time was 5'6 and he was fine with it until he started letting people get in his head, but that didn't stop me.

Well, women wear high hells because they enlongate the leg, making your entire body look slimmer. Women also wear heels to make them FEEL sexier, and to some who are more petite, to gain a few inches in height. I love all my high heels. And while they may hurt occassionally after wearing them for hours, it takes pain to be beautiful. If high heels make me feel beautiful, that is my perrogative. If any man feels dwarfed by a woman in heels, he has a napolean complex that needs to be addressed. period.

Us short girls HAVE to wear them! I've worn them since I was about 14. I don't wear *actual* high heels, though. During the past, whichever was popular, I've worn wedges, heels, espadrilles, platforms ...

I love heel boots. I love wedge sandals. It makes me feel taller and a petite body needs the extra coupla inches to look proportionate sometimes. Us short girls really got screwed! :)

High heels themselves do hurt. Wedges and stuff don't. Well, actually, sometimes they do hurt the balls of your feet when you first start wearing them again in the spring.

A pair that is just the right fit isn't painful. I've worn them since I was 15. I'm only 5 feet 3 inches tall, so I like the extra height and they make my legs look longer.

I love wearing heels, my feet are kind of immune to them now, I guess. And I'm only about 5'1 and I'm way done with growing.
