my dad said it cost 2 dollars to call out on verizon wireless i think he don't know?

i don't know what my phone plan is and i don't know how it works

There are some verizon plans that do include roaming charges. Roaming happens when verizon doen't own a tower close enough to give you reception so you purchase the use of another company's cell phone tower. These roaming charges can be a dollar or two a minute.

I'm on the America's Choice plan, this plan doesn't charge me for roaming.

Okay, well, the Plan I have is 3 phones for 90 dollars a month, now, it depends, are you on a family plan, or a pay-as-u-go, or something else. I know it does not cost 2$ to send a call on VZW.

then u shod read ur bill and figure out ur bill. and sry to say this but ur dads an idiot. unless ur calling like other countries or 1800 numbers at most it might be like 10-15 cents a min
